Despite being surrounded by Royals and celebrities, no one could argue the Duchess of Cambridge's sister was the centre of attention.

While her plunging red halterneck dress by Temperley was on trend - both Geri Halliwell and Prince William's ex girlfriend Jecca Craig wore similar versions to the event - Pippa's gown was slightly more revealing.

Not subject to the same protocol as Kate, the pretty brunette can wear whatever she wants and get away with it.

But did Pippa need to make such a bold wardrobe statement?
